Japan Report!
So, it was pretty cool.  Alike and unlike what I expected.

I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do, but bad timing and new years and the alike. :/  I wanted to go to this countdown where you all get a wish card and balloon and let them go at midnight, but where I found it doesn't tell you that there is a strict limit of 3000 people.  We just missed it. :/

However, that place is haunted, as shown by the large abundance of orbs!

Went to Tokyo Tower and went to the very top!  Walking down stairs from the main observatory (150 metres) in ugg-type boots is not very good for one's calves  Yeah, the square around the tower?  From there..

I do have a pic where you can see Mt. Fuji in the distance as well.

Here is my room, well room one.  Since we got there and he told us we'd get a bigger room the next day

(My bed anyway)

Room two!

The randomest difference had to be the size difference between the bathrooms.  Absolutely massive one in the 1st one, and teeeny tiny (think Ibis hotel bathrooms) for the 2nd one.

Random views from room 2/balcony:

Er, as previously mentioned.  I went to the Peace and Smile Carnival and had the time of my life.  The only thing that pissed me off is the fact that PSC don't let you take photos!  Since I was front row, and the stage had this nifty little ramp thing (it extended to the 2nd tier so the bands/artists could run past the audience) and they all stopped right in front of me!  Miyavi fan-service in front of me was amazing xD

However! I took a sneaky pic when the guide wandered off for a min or so.  The angle is dodgy but I simply pointed and clicked.  The green-ish part just above the blue rail is where the stage/ramp went up too.

Engrish of the day

My goodies

The line about 12 after we'd arrived at 10 to buy goodies!

Random aquarium pics:

Er.. oh yeah!  Waterfall pics!

We so nearly got stranded in Osaka and Nagoya it's unreal.  We had a JR rail apss, meaning we could anywhere on the JR lines for free.  So we went to Osaka, and decided to see what time the last bullet train was (about 8 pm).  Now we can only get two of the three bullet trains with the pass.  The Hikari and the ..something else xD  But not the Nozumi.  Turns out that there were only Nozumi trains back to Tokyo so we get on this random one (we just make it as everything in Japan leaves/starts/ends on time) and my friend goes and asks the conductor tells us to get off at Nagoya and get this Hikari train but we need to make a reservation so we trust him, and turns out that train is fully booked and there isn't anymore..  I nearly cried.
However, JR have buses!  Expressway night bus to the rescue.  We seriously got in about 6-ish by the time we'd made our way back in.
Deserted subway train (and yes that is am):

Crazy man in Ueno Park:
I have videos of him but I'll have to upload etc first.

aaand Starbucks in a can!

My general goodies when I got back home:
Well, when I can find that pic anyway.

It was indeed a random trip. It definately had it's good, bad and the ugly moments, but all in all I had a blast. Thanks for being an awesome travel partner and thanks for putting up with me. I know i ain't the easiest person to deal with XD.
